Sāmya Strategies offers a range of intersecting services to support social justice organizations and leaders.

Our work seeks to ensure justice by prioritizing the dignity, care, and well-being of others and fostering a collaborative space where all people’s perspectives and experiences are heard.


  • Coaching for leaders in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector (working at any level) who are interested in understanding, using, and building on their strengths to advance their leadership, navigate challenges, make critical career decisions, and address any other factors that they feel are keeping them from achieving their goals and maximizing their talents. Focus on women of color leaders.

  • Crafting effective and equitable grantmaking and programmatic strategies for nonprofits, foundations, donors, and other social justice organizations.

  • Creating the conditions for groups to harness their knowledge and strengths for collective action and to attain their goals.

  • Crafting clear and persuasive reports, briefs, articles, grant recommendations, and other written communications.

  • Helping clients answer key questions and understand the evidence and context they need to advance their missions, using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

  • Offering insights on public health; social determinants of health; cross-sector approach to the care economy; women’s health; and maternal, child, and adolescent health.

  • Offering thought partnership on asset and wealth building and protection; income supports, public benefits and the safety net; workers’ rights; workforce development; and a cross-sector approach to the care economy.
